A Tribute Recognizing

WHEREAS, Liberty Manor for Veterans, Inc. offers a haven of safety and refuge for homeless veterans who have valiantly and honorably served our great and beloved United States of America in the armed forces both domestic and abroad; and
WHEREAS, Liberty Manor for Veterans, Inc. was conceived in 2006 by Connie Lindsay and Jeff Leddeke united in a mission to assist homeless veterans in Hillsborough County through an independent housing program that integrates social services programs including mental health and substance abuse treatment; and
WHEREAS, Liberty Manor for Veterans, Inc. provides a comprehensive supported housing services for honorably discharged homeless veterans that offers systematic long-term objectives to transition veterans to self-sufficiency and understanding how to access necessary resources to maintain an independent and productive lifestyle; and
WHEREAS, Liberty Manor for Veterans, Inc. offers an transition program for honorably discharged homeless veterans to reaffirm the dignity they have earned and deserve with an ultimate goal of reuniting these esteemed warriors with their families and reintegrating them into society as productive citizens; and
WHEREAS, Liberty Manor for Veterans, Inc. has organized July 4, 2013 as Liberty for Veterans Day in Tampa in order to celebrate and honor veterans within our great Tampa Bay area who have contributed so positively to the community; and
NOW, THEREFORE, I, State Senator Arthenia L. Joyner, District 19, proclaim this Independence Day, the 5th day of July in the year of our Lord two thousand and thirteen, be celebrated as Liberty Day in Tampa, Florida.
