The community of Tampa Bay Golf and Country Club in San Antonio, FL hosted a Golf Event on June 10th for honorably discharged veterans from AVAST and Liberty Manor for Veterans,Inc in the home of Bruce and Suzanne Burkiwich. The benevolent members of the community donated much needed furniture, clothing and appliances to the organizations hoping to provide veterans with a better future.

The mission of AVAST is members working diligently at keeping the organization , activities and its membership growing. Members train for and have achieved the following Certifications:

• Amputee Coalition of America Member and Peer Certification
• Adaptive Golf Academy Peer Certification
• Veterans Administration Peer Certification

This allows members to understand and assist other amputees in becoming independent and empowered individuals. The success of the organization is a statement of the dedication of the officers, advisory council and members. AVAST is also a member of the Amputee Coalition of America.

The mission of Liberty for Veterans, Inc, is a non-profit organization committed to promoting the developmental and social needs of veterans who have served our country, fought for our country but fallen victim to homelessness.
